Akron Children’s is a pediatric teaching hospital of the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), offering several subspecialty fellowship training programs, as well as training for pediatric, family practice and pediatric orthopedic surgery residents.
Akron Children's offers 4th year rotations in a variety of specialty areas, including medical and surgical. We believe we can be a key part of your educational experience, whether your future patient care plans include children, adults or both.
Akron Children’s partners with nearly 50 nursing schools, providing almost 2,000 clinical, preceptorship and observation experiences for nursing students. Supported programs include practical nursing, diploma nursing, associate, baccalaureate, master and doctoral nursing programs.
From medical laboratory students to shadowing experiences, internships and more, Akron Children's is committed to extending educational opportunities to other key members of the healthcare team.
