Meet Vida Kaniecki, MD
Dr. Kaniecki is a pediatrician with Akron Children’s Pediatrics. She has been practicing since 1992 and with Akron Children’s since 2019. She earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. She went on to complete a pediatric residency and a medical genetics fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Kaniecki specializes in pediatric and adolescent medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.

Dr Kaniecki is so kind and my daughter feels comfortable around her.

The Doctor was amazing and explained everything so well.
I appreciate how much Dr. Kaniecki listened to my concerns and then provided me with what was best to do and care for my child while at home. And if I had further concerns what to do, I really appreciated all of her help.

Dr Kaniecki is the absolute best pediatrician. She is always so friendly, caring and knowledgeable. We love her!
I was asked if I wanted my child to get the flu vaccine to which I said no, not while he is currently sick, I'd prefer them to be healthy first if we decide to do that. Provider said ok but then felt the need to put in the after care summary that "Immunization was not carried out because of parental refusal" that comes across as super judgmental. Its my right as a parent to decide if and when my child receives any vaccine and we were there for a sick visit not a vaccine. That is not something that should have even been brought up let alone mentioned in the summary in the way that it was.
My daughter has autism, some more patience and understanding when it came to her hearing and vision screening would have been nice.
I believe this was the first time we saw this doctor and she was an absolute delight! Friendly and helpful and made (Patient) feel very comfortable. I would be happy to see her again!
