Of all the medical specialties, orthopedic surgery is arguably the most physically demanding. Pushing bones back into place requires brute force, while long surgery sessions demand stamina – which may explain why orthopedics is one of the few medical specialties still male-dominated.

Dr. Handler is the best. She does an incredible job connecting with her patients. She makes sure parents know and are comfortable with the plan of care. She is by far one of the best physician/surgeons Akron childrens employs.

Dr. Handler is amazing and very thorough! She absolutely amazing with her patients and very knowledgeable.
My son really likes Dr Handler & says, "She's cool." He really liked the male Nurse Practitioner too. The Nurse really related to him when he spoke to him, and even waved by from the hallway when we were leaving. The receptionists, both at arrival & check out, were friendly, also.
Dr. Handler was so kind and thorough during our visit. I'm so happy that Akron Children's is starting to open more locations in the cleveland area! Would highly recommend Dr. Handler to anyone.
She was nice
Dr Handler is incredibly caring, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She is very thorough and explained everything clearly. She answered my questions. She also remembered about my son's prior injury and asked about how his arm was feeling. She is one of the best doctors that I have encountered at Akron Children Hospital. I would recommend her to anyone who needed a pediatric orthopedic doctor.
Dr. Handler has always done well by my son for the care he needs and I am grateful for her knowledge, kindness, generosity, and expertise.
