Meet Shefali Mahesh, MD
Dr. Mahesh is Immediate past-president of the medical staff at Akron Children’s. She attended medical school at the Topiwala National Medical College & BYI Nair Charitable Hospital in Mumbai, India. She completed her pediatric residency at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, N.Y. and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at the Children’s Hospital of Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y. She’s certified in pediatrics with a subspecialty certification in pediatric nephrology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Mahesh is the Dr. Noah Miller Endowed Chair in Pediatric Medicine and clinical associate professor, pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, American Society of Nephrology and the International Pediatric Nephrology Association.

Dr. Mahesh is a great doctor. She's always been there for us ever since the first operation on the kidney. She's very helpful. She remembers me when I go back every time. We love her and wish we could keep her after we age out of the system.
I was asked to pay a copay. I stated i paid in online through my chart before the appt. I was told by the desk secretary that it did now show i paid it and they would send me a bill. I did not appreciate this confrontational remark.
The staff and head nurse and Dr mahesh are outstanding!!!!! I absolutely adore them!!!!
