Meet Sandra Bennett, MSN, APRN-CNP
Sandra is a pediatric nurse practitioner and pediatric mental health specialist at Akron Children’s. She’s been with Akron Children’s since 2013 and practicing as a provider since 2018. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Malone University in Canton, Ohio and her master’s degree in nursing from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She went on to complete the KySS Child-Adolescent Mental Health Fellowship through The Ohio State University. Sandra has a special interest in developmental behavioral pediatrics including autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, behavior problems and learning difficulties. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners’ Behavioral and Mental Health Special Interest Group.

Hi, I actually just wanted to leave a quick little message about our nurse practitioner, Sandy Bennett. I just wanted to say that I have never met a provider that literally engages with my son so amazingly, goes out of her way to make sure that we have everything we need, and that there wasn't even a possibility of not having the resources that we need for his care.
