Meet Ruth Youssefi, APRN-CNP
Ruthie is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Akron Children’s. She’s been practicing as a provider since 2008 and with Akron Children’s since 2001. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio and is a graduate of the Registered Nurse First Assistant program at Rush University in Chicago, Ill. Ruthie has a special interest in pediatric urology, including spina bifida and neurogenic bladder. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is a member of Pediatric Urology Nurses and Specialists and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Ruthie took the time to listen to and validate our concerns and make safe recommendations for our child's situation and care. We previously had a poor encounter with the department, however our visit with her completely turned things around for us. She is thorough, thoughtful, and very personable. We are very happy to work with her moving forward!

R Youssefi did a great job setting my child at ease. She was friendly and great at communicating. Not only did she give a thorough explanation of the possible causes & treatments for the patient, but she also took the time to answer an unrelated question I had about another child.
The nurse practitioner was kind and patient. My (age) year old said she was his favorite because she talked so nice to him! I appreciate her explaining stuff to him and for calming him.
