She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Malone University, Canton Ohio, and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and served as president-elect of the Pi Chi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.
