Meet Rachel Williamson, MS, CGC
Rachel is a licensed, certified genetic counselor in practice since 2021, joining Akron Children’s in 2022. She completed her undergraduate degree at Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio and her graduate degree at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Her special interests are pediatric and adult oncology, hearing loss, pediatrics and Huntington’s Disease. Rachel is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.

She was very attentive in listening to me even when I went off topic. It was more therapeutic visit, which I appreciated. It is very hard for me to trust anyone and I felt comfortable talking to the provider. Ms. Williamson was very informative of the topic at hand and this in turn helped me to get a better understanding of what I was there for.
