Dr. Skiviat was very attentive, patient and informative. Easy to understand the points being made, seemed to care about our concerns and offered suggestion and/or solution for them. Didn't feel like "just another case file" - or "next appointment scheduled". I appreciate his thorough discussion and the time allotted to us.

We always have great patient care from Dr. Skiviat

We are so lucky to have Dr. Nick Skiviat. We see him as part of the Down Syndrome Clinic, and he takes such good care of our daughter and really takes the time and attention to discuss any of our questions and concerns, even raises areas we haven't thought of before. And I can tell he truly enjoys the work that he does.

The provider was very good. I would recommend 10 out of 10. However, when I came into the hospital on the third floor for check-in, the first girl on the left was very ignorant to me. Did not give me directions to where this person's office was and just kind of expected to do nothing while she got standing there getting paid. I was very upset. I had to check in myself. She didn't explain why and she tried to say that she told me where the elevator was. I've been considering. There's two sets of elevators right there to her back and to her right where she was facing me. I didn't know which direction to go. So I was very, very angry with her level of comprehension and her inability to do her job. And then she smarted back at me and I didn't think that that was a bad thing.

I wish there were more people qualified for autism evaluations so the waits aren't so long, we waited 2 years for this and the next appt isn't for 3 months, but that's not a reflection on anyone I interacted with.

Dr. Skiviat is an amazing patient and I'm very thankful and feel extremely blessed that my son and I have been connected with him. My son has been at the 360 turnaround since we started receiving treatment with Dr. Skiviat. Thank you.

he was open minded and honest about what he knew or what wasn't in his scope of expertise. he made us feel like he was part of the team and encouraged us to reach back out with any other questions.

We just wanted to say that we really appreciate Dr. Nick and the time that he spends with (Patient) and we've always felt like we've been heard and our concerns have been heard.

The doctor was very patient, very thorough, and it was very much a nice change and a great welcome that we were made to feel as though we weren't just another patient number in a file. And given whatever time we needed for questions and observations and so forth, I thought that the doctor did a phenomenal job collecting information and discussing and explaining things to us in our first visit. I look forward to working with the doctor very much.

We saw a developmental pediatrician, nurse, audiologist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and dietician. Every practitioner we saw in the Down Syndrome clinic was fantastic, and the existence of such a clinic made our life easier than you know. Other national children's hospitals take a piecemeal approach, which is overwhelming and very hard for two working parents to navigate successfully. The existence of specialized clinics that bring multiple practitioners and specialities together should be what every children's hospital does. This was our first experience with Akron Children's main hospital, and we are so impressed! We were also impressed with the compassionate care and bedside manor we received. Our whole family was comfortable, and our daughter had fun during the session.
