Meet Michael Moritz, MD

Dr. Moritz Joined the hospital in 2025 as the Director of Pediatric Nephrology and Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Pediatrics. He earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Moritz completed his pediatric residency at the University of Chicago Medicine’s Wyler Children's Hospital and completed his pediatric nephrology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology. Dr. Moritz has authored over 100 scholarly publications and is a leading authority on sodium and water metabolism disorders in both children and adults. He is deeply engaged in clinical trials and serves on the editorial boards of several highly ranked and regarded journals.
