Meet Michael Kohrman, MD

Dr. Kohrman is the Director of Child Neurology at Akron Children’s where he’s been serving patients since 2016. A graduate of Stanford University and Rush Medical College He specializes in medical and surgical options in the treatment of epilepsy. In addition his practice focuses on Tuberous Sclerosis and Sleep disorders.  Dr. Kohrman completed his pediatric residency and a fellowship in child neurology at The University of Chicago, Wyler Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. A highly accomplished physician, Dr. Kohrman is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology and additional certification in clinical neurophysiology, sleep medicine and epilepsy. He has authored and co-authored over 60 publications in medical journals, received numerous academic appointments and serves as a Professor of Pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He’s also a member of American Epilepsy Society, Child Neurology Society and the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance Professional Advisory Board.
