Meet Mamatha Kambalapalli, MD
Dr. Kambalapalli is a pediatric endocrinologist and director of the thyroid program at Akron Children’s. She’s been in practice since 2001 and with Akron Children’s since 2014. She earned her medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in India and completed her residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and her fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Kambalapalli has a special interest in thyroid issues in children, including thyroid nodule, thyroid cancer and bone health. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She’s also published several research studies and is an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical College.
