Meet Mamatha Kambalapalli, MD
Dr. Kambalapalli is a pediatric endocrinologist and director of the thyroid program at Akron Children’s. She’s been in practice since 2001 and with Akron Children’s since 2014. She earned her medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in India and completed her residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and her fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Kambalapalli has a special interest in thyroid issues in children, including thyroid nodule, thyroid cancer and bone health. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She’s also published several research studies and is an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical College.

I always appreciate this office and the doctors
Dr K is one of our favorites! She never makes us feel rushed, she takes time to listen, and she is very compassionate with our daughter. We are lucky to have her on our daughter's care team.

Dr. K, she was amazing. I felt like she listened to me. She took into consideration everything that I had to say. She took my concerns very seriously. She reassured me. She listened to my suggestions, my questions, as well as she gave me additional options regarding my son and reassured me that we would figure out what was going on. Dr. K was careful, thoughtful and kind. She was open to a having dialogue with me as we navigated a grey situation. I was incredibly grateful for the time she took to talk with my son and I and, and her thoughtful investigation.
