Meet Lorena Floccari, MD
Dr. Floccari is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and director of the Spine Center at Akron Children’s. Dr. Floccari has been in practice since 2019. She received her medical degree from The Ohio State University. Dr Floccari completed her residency at the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, Minnesota. From there she completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas and a pediatric spine fellowship at Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Floccari is a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America and her areas of special interest include pediatric and adolescent spine deformity, early onset scoliosis, congenital scoliosis and pediatric limb deformity.

My granddaughter's appointment was with Dr. Floccari. She did a very good job of explaining exactly what would happen. She is scheduled to have back surgery to repair scoliosis on (date). And the whole team that we spoke with on (date) from Dr. Flocarri's office to the lab, to the hospitalist's office, were all very informative, very easy to ask questions of and more than willing to answer and gave plenty of information that we need to make the day go better for (Patient) and for us. We're very thankful to be able to spend the day getting ourselves acquainted with the details of this particular operation and the outcomes that we can expect. Thank you. Bye.

Excellent service but long waits for appointments
Dr. Floccari is my orthopedic doctor. She has been wonderful throughout my office visits and surgery. Everything has gone extremely well and I thank her for such great care.
