Meet Lisa Sammon, DO
Dr. Lisa Sammon is the director of allergy/immunology and a pediatric allergist/immunologist at Akron Children’s. She been in practice since 2016. After graduating from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, she completed a pediatrics residence here at Akron Children’s. Dr. Sammon also completed a pediatric allergy/immunology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and American Board of Allergy and Immunology, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She explained to us everything. She was very personal and kept us very informed on everything. She definitely made me and my daughter feel like she was going the right path to do everything that was necessary to help her. She was very great.
The Dr was through in explaining what to do to help prevent symptoms. I love that the Dr & nurse (or assistant not sure of her title), both came in just as anxious/excited to see the allergy results as my son & I were to watch the results happen in real time. The results were a little devastating but also expected. We felt at ease due to prior explanation that if it's caused by a beloved pet, nobody expects us to rehome them. We were given solutions & preventions.
The kids appointment went great, everyone was very kind.
Dr. Sammon is knowledgeable and kind. She is wonderful about answering questions, both during the appointment and via my chart. I feel totally confident in her care for my child!
