Dr. Bockoven is a pediatric cardiologist and director of outreach and education at Akron Children’s Heart Center. He’s been practicing since 1997 and came to Akron Children’s in 2003. He’s a graduate of the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland. He completed a pediatric internship and residency at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He has a special interest in pediatric cardiology and international pediatric cardiology care. Dr. Bockoven is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a sub-board in pediatric cardiology. He’s the author of several papers, abstracts and presentations, and is a lecturer on topics related to pediatric cardiology. He’s also an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
