Meet Ira Taub, MD, FAAP
Dr. Taub is a pediatric cardiologist at Akron Children’s Heart Center. He’s been practicing since 2010 and with Akron Children’s since 2013. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in N.Y., he completed a pediatrics residency at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. He went on to complete a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Taub has a special interest in congenital heart disease, sudden death prevention in the young, genetic and heritable cardiomyopathy, myocarditis and COVID-19 Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS_C). He’s board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric cardiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology. Additionally, he’s an assistant professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University, part of the board review lecture series for pediatric residents at Akron Children’s and is a training instructor for the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.

Everything was perfect. The staff was knowledgeable and professional.
Dr. Taub was absolutely amazing. He listened to our concerns/issues and asked questions to both my daughter and myself to get a better picture of her situation. Incredible bedside manner and was very thorough with explaining the diagnosis and treatment. I highly recommend this physician!
Dr Taub was thorough, professional, and very good with the baby. He listened to us, answered all of our questions and explained everything thoroughly. The tech and sonographer were extremely pleasant, too.

Dr. Taub is amazing!! My daughter has been battling an issue for over 2 years. Dr. Taub is the only physician that took the time to figure out what the actual problem is. He spent a lot of time with her. He set her mind at ease. We are so grateful for you Dr. Taub!
The office visit was great. I would suggest, however, not switching from room to room. I think I switched to three different rooms. Maybe if you had one intake room and then one that you go to next would be good. And then also they should prepare you to have something for the child to be occupied with while they do the ultrasound if they're, you know, if they're getting an ultrasound. A little heads up would be good.
The doctor was the kindest and most professional doctor I have ever seen. Dr. Taub spoke directly to my (age) year old granddaughter, the patient, then turned for questions and providing information to me. Her guardian and grandma. At the conclusion he wrapped up what was done and said and encouraged us returning if the situation became worse.
Dr Taub is the best! He is genuine and very easy to talk to. He makes sure all your questions and concerns are answered and addressed.
