Meet Drew Engles, MD
Dr. Engles is a hand and microvascular surgeon at Akron Children’s. He’s been practicing since 1997. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Ind. and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. He went on to complete a hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at The Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis, Ind. Dr. Engles has a special interest in hand and upper extremity congenital deformities and traumatic injuries. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. Dr. Engles is an editorial reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery and has contributed to dozens of professional publications, presentations and research studies. He is past president of the Thomas B. Quigley Society for the Advancement of Sports Medicine.
