Meet Drew Engles, MD

Dr. Engles is a hand and microvascular surgeon at Akron Children’s. He’s been practicing since 1997. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Ind. and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. He went on to complete a hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at The Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis, Ind. Dr. Engles has a special interest in hand and upper extremity congenital deformities and traumatic injuries. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. Dr. Engles is an editorial reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery and has contributed to dozens of professional publications, presentations and research studies. He is past president of the Thomas B. Quigley Society for the Advancement of Sports Medicine.

To sum it up when I think of angels I think of all the staff at Akron children's hospital you guys are wonderful. And I mean that we went in there for my daughters left arm being broken and I found out that her right arm was fractured that's how amazing you guys are. I took her to the hospital and they didn't even know that her right arm was fractured. Thank you guys so much for everything that y'all do.????
