Meet David Waight, MD, FSCAI
Dr. Waight is director of the cardiac catheterization lab and interventional cardiology at Akron Children’s Heart Center, where he’s been practicing since 2003. After graduating from the University of Iowa, he completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Chicago and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Waight has a special interest in pediatric and congenital interventional cardiac catheterization. He’s board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a sub-board in pediatric cardiology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He’s a presenter and author of articles and book chapters on topics related to the heart and is an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.

I just want to say everything went really well, the visit and all of that. Everyone was wonderful. But his nothing is uploaded into my chart yet. So I just wish I could see that. But that's it.

The team was amazing. I was told the appointment was only a consultation and was very surprised and happy that they were able to do everything that day for my daughter. She got an ultrasound and ekg and I was able to talk to the doctor about the results. I would highly recommend. They were patient and answered my questions and made this a stress-free visit.
