Darla was kind throughout the visit. She put my daughter at ease. The only concern I had is that I felt unsure of exactly what the plan was regarding surgery the next day after she had discussed with the physician. Additional clarity, including the name of the procedure, would have been helpful to allow me to fully understand and comprehend the procedure that was scheduled for the next day.

You're always great

Hello. I have used Cleveland Clinic my whole life and with the whole lives of my children. And I needed to see someone very quickly. And two different people told me to call Akron Children's. And I absolutely loved the care and the feedback and the response that I got immediately to just schedule something stat. And I really appreciate that so much. And I don't like making phone calls like that. And it was just very customer service friendly. And they really did take the time to make sure that I got the best care possible. So thank you very much.

This provider has been amazing. The nurse practitioner we saw at our recent visit along with (staff name) have been fantastic. I would highly recommend the orthopedics at Akron Children's Hospital.

We went to the children's hospital for a second option about our son's leg not healing. We brought along our MRI and Xray's and discussed what we had been told by our local orthopedic provider. It was an eye-opening experience. You really have to be proactive with your health and decisions you make for you and your family. Dr Spurgeon explained the treatment she recommended... 80% healed, rest, vitamins, no excessive running and jumping and her outcome would be beneficial in the long run. Or local doctors' recommendation was still broken and to continue activities and come back if it hurt (it would be refracture at that point) and a follow up surgery would happen to scrap, pin and set the bone. Our appt was very informative and we really appreciated the time the doctor spent with us. We are following her recommendations.
