Meet Christine Carter-Kent, MD

Dr. Carter-Kent is a gastroenterologist at Akron Children’s. She’s been practicing since 2008. She earned her medical degree from Case Western University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She went on to complete a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Carter-Kent has a special interest in abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease and quality improvement. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology. Dr. Carter-Kent is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, and the Network of Minority Research Investigators, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease.
