Meet Carmen Harlan, MD
Dr. Harlan is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Akron Children’s. She’s been practicing since 1993 and with Akron Children’s since 2015. She is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, R.I. and earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Harlan has a special interest in depression, anxiety and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr Harlan is the best dr wouldn't take my kids to anyone else!

Dr. Harlan has always been very attentive to our needs with our son and his ADHD and managing his medication. He's always been very thorough with her questioning and trying to figure out and compare behavior at home and school. She's always paying attention to how he feels and is always wanting his feedback as well and we just really appreciate Dr. Harlan and how much she's helped our son.
