Meet Carmen Harlan, MD

Dr. Harlan is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Akron Children’s. She’s been practicing since 1993 and with Akron Children’s since 2015. She is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, R.I. and earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Harlan has a special interest in depression, anxiety and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
