Meet Carmen Harlan, MD
Dr. Harlan is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Akron Children’s. She’s been practicing since 1993 and with Akron Children’s since 2015. She is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, R.I. and earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Harlan has a special interest in depression, anxiety and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Professional and helpful
My son loved his doctor. He trusted her. He said that she's somebody that he felt like will listen to him and he wants to definitely keep seeing her and he has never trusted any doctor before as much as he trusts her and I trust her too. Thank you.
