Meet Aaron Sweeney, MD
Dr. Sweeney is a sports medicine physician at Akron Children’s, where he’s been practicing since 2020. He earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. He went on to complete his residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in sports medicine at Akron Children’s. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Sweeney specializes in concussion care and ultrasound-guided injections.

Dr. Sweeney is always very careful as to what he explains and explains very thoroughly.
Dr. Sweeney and (Staff name) were both extremely knowledgeable and kind. They were thorough with their examinations and explained in detail their findings and recommendations to my daughter.
For the most part the provider do there job. They are friendly and approachable.
Everybody we dealt with there was fantastic. You guys actually listened, paid attention, and gave us really good information and were extremely helpful and super nice about everything. I had no complaints whatsoever. My wife had no complaints, my son had no complaints, and you guys answered all of our questions. You were great.
Dr. Sweeney has a very good bedside manner, handles my child very well with her disabilities, and takes into account family history from myself and seeing if that could be what is happening with our daughter.
