Research / Scholarly Activity

    Are you required to do research? No. But you can, and it is encouraged!  Many of our residents have presented their research at national conferences and have published their work. The Medical Staff provides a $1,000 stipend to residents who have their research accepted for presentation at national meetings. We also have a yearly Resident and Fellow Academic Day where residents can showcase their scholarly projects. Winners receive a monetary prize and present their work at Grand Rounds. In addition, all residents participate in robust group Quality Improvement (QI) projects yearly.  Below is a sample of research presented and published by our residents in the last few years.
