Dr. Shannon Thompson joins Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics, Alliance

Akron Children’s Pediatrics welcomes Dr. Shannon Thompson, to its Alliance office. The practice –  1826 South Arch Avenue– provides pediatric primary care for babies, children and teens.  

Dr. Thompson earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Akron Children’s and has been practicing medicine since 2018. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.  

In addition to Dr. Thompson, the Akron Children’s Pediatrics care team in Alliance includes Dr. Laura Penix, Dr. Judith Rhee and Dr. Megan Woodward, pediatric nurse practitioners Kellie Hays, Daphney Miller and Heather Theisen as well as mental health therapist Stephanie Griffiths.
