Akron Children’s taps Brian Dinger as VP, primary care and regional services

Akron Children’s has named Brian Dinger, MBA, as a vice president of primary care and regional services.
Dinger will lead the overall administration, operation, financial management and business development of Akron Children’s physician practices in the community.
“Brian’s extensive experience in practice management made him a perfect fit to lead our network of 36 primary care sites with more than 230 providers,” said Lisa Aurilio, chief operating officer of Akron Children’s. “In his new position, he will also oversee community-based primary care professional service arrangements and Akron Children’s Quick Care and Quick Care Online services.”
Dinger joins Akron Children’s from Steward Medical Group where he served as the senior director of practice operations in Ohio and Pennsylvania and managed a practice network of 38 sites. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science and business from North Carolina Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in business administration from Walsh University. He lives in Canfield with his wife, Shannan, and their daughters, Madison and Reese.
Akron Children’s Pediatrics launched in 1995 and covers 15 counties: Ashland, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Erie, Holmes, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas and Wayne. Annual patient volumes exceed 500,000 visits. Akron Children’s Pediatrics has earned Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
