Akron Children's has expanded Quick Care to Belpre and surrounding communities
10-24-2024 (Akron, Ohio)
Akron Children’s has expanded Quick Care – a convenient option for kids’ minor illnesses and injuries – to Belpre and surrounding communities.
Quick Care is located within Akron Children’s Pediatrics, Belpre at 807 Farson St., Suite 201C. Current Quick Care hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Appointments are recommended, although walk-ins will be seen if openings are available. Appointments can be made at akronchildrens.org/appointments.
Quick Care is open to all kids in the community, not just Akron Children’s patients. It is a great option when your child’s provider is not available and children need non-urgent medical care, such as:
- Allergies
- Burns/sunburn – minor
- Cold
- Cough/congestion/upper respiratory infection
- Cuts – small, minor
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- Ear infections/earaches
- Eye redness/drainage/itching
- Fever – child 3 months or older
- Flu
- Headache – no nausea, vomiting or vision changes
- Insect bites/stings or minor dog bite
- Nausea
- Pain upon urination
- Physicals – sports or work
- Rashes/skin infections
- Sore throat
- Stomach pain – minor
- Urinary tract infection – in potty-trained child, fever less than 103 degrees
“Quick Care is one way we’re expanding access to serve our Belpre and surrounding families better,” said Brian Dinger, vice president of the Akron Children’s primary care network. “We want to meet a growing need in the community for same-day pediatric primary care. We also have walk-in care for current Akron Children’s Pediatrics patients at our Marietta and Belpre offices.”
