Senses Experiment: Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes
How areas of your skin contain different numbers of touch receptors. Some body areas are more sensitive than others.
- Blindfold
- Tennis ball, rock, sponge, pine cone, seashell, eraser, marble, etc.
- Have a friend close his or her eyes.
- Gently press each item to the skin on different areas of the body.
- Can your friend identify the object?
