It’s a reality that Jordan isn’t going to be like other kids with a nervous system that allows their legs to move easier than his legs. He will be putting those super boots on, which will allow him to dream of whatever he wants to go after despite the need for a little assistance. When I really think about it, we all depend on something to get us to where we want to go whether it’s braces, wheelchair, bus, or car.
Jordan makes it through the Wipe Out
ordan has become more confident in his new skills, pulling himself up on his knees to check out what’s on the coffee table or attempting to position himself on our laps. He also enjoys finding our dog Sasha’s bone to give to her.
How to pack healthy school lunches your child will eat
Although breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, lunch is also an essential time for kids to refuel, stay focused and get the energy they need for the rest of the school day.
The Force is with us
We met our inspirational, courageous, heroic, soldier in February through Akron Children’s. We were so excited to watch and listen to the radiothon this year. Randy and I would leave either the radio or computer on for the duration of the event. We were inspired by each story that came across the airwaves.
Kids are truly #1
We attended our first Kids are #1 Run event at Akron Children’s this weekend after being invited to join Team Sofie. What a variety of vendors and activities for the kids – face painting, hair spray dyeing, animals and creating children’s names with sticky letters and building blocks.
Still super – Jordan on the move with leg braces
Jordan has been doing well with his super boots. I am amazed at how these boots have given him freedom. As Randy and I were getting ready to go to work last week, Jordan was playing in his little area and tipped over.
