Mosaic project celebrates Children’s one image at a time
As part of Akron Children’s 125th celebration, a group of donors, patients and staff were invited to Kay Jewelers Pavilion on the hospital’s birthday, Oct. 20, to ‘unwrap’ the much anticipated mosaic project.
A gem of a gift
On Oct. 24, Akron Children’s announced the name of its new medical building on the Akron campus: the Kay Jewelers Pavilion.
The new building was named in recognition of Kay® Jewelers continued support and recent $10 million gift towards the “Building on the Promise” capital campaign. The gift is the largest in Akron Children’s history.
Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley begins construction and renovation to inpatient units
Construction and renovations have begun for our special care nursery and inpatient unit on our Beeghly campus. The inpatient unit will have more room to expand, while the special care nursery will provide private rooms for all patient families.
Holiday Tree Festival spotlight: Building on the Promise

We were blessed to have been able participate in Akron Children’s Holiday Tree Festival preview party on Nov. 16. In fact, we were so excited that we didn’t think to get a little boy sitter for the evening. Fortunately the event was so intriguing to our little mister that it wasn’t a problem for his entertainment.
