We’re offering online scheduling to meet the needs of today’s busy family. It’s quick and easy, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience. You don’t have to wait for open office hours, and you won’t be put on hold.
You can schedule appointments online at most of our specialty offices — from cardiology to dermatology to rheumatology — in addition to well checks, sick visits, flu shots, sports physicals and more at our pediatric offices.
Don’t have MyChart? No problem. You don’t need an account to schedule doctor appointments online.
“We continue to add functionality and new departments all the time to online scheduling to simplify our families’ hectic schedules,” said Tina Sanzone, MHA, BSN, RN, Akron Children’s vice president of access and patient navigation. “We want families to have the same appointment offerings and experience online as they would if they called in to speak with an Akron Children’s team member.”
Get started: How to schedule an appointment online
- Go to akronchildrens.org/appointments and click “Schedule Online.” You’ll be asked if you have a MyChart account. While you don’t need a MyChart account to schedule online, scheduling through MyChart connects the appointment to the patient’s medical record.
- Choose your specialty or pediatrics visit.
- Follow the prompts to select your reason for visit, location, and preferred date and time.
- Review appointment details and visit instructions, then enter your appointment comments and click “Continue.”
- Fill out the patient’s information and insurance details, and hit “Schedule.”
More scheduling tools available in MyChart
For families with MyChart accounts, there are additional scheduling tools available to make it even easier to manage your children’s health.
You can log into MyChart to cancel or confirm upcoming appointments, receive automatic appointment reminders and even “favorite” frequent appointments to speed up scheduling in the future. In addition, you can complete Pre-Check in up to 5 days prior to the appointment to save time at the office, and later review after-visit summaries and clinician notes.
“We’re trying to take away the phone call to make managing doctor visits and your children’s health easier, faster and more convenient,” Tina said. “Our patient families do everything online, and we want to meet that need in the health care space, too.”
