Somashekhar Rachaiah, MD, prides himself on his superpower: Patience! To him, patience is an important virtue — and the secret — to providing the very best care.
As Akron Children’s newest pediatrician, Dr. Rachaiah splits his time between Akron Children’s Pediatrics, New Philadelphia, and our Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology. His superpower is taking the time to listen, truly understanding and addressing patients’ needs, while encouraging them to share in the decision making. It’s a small step, but one that makes a big difference in improving patient outcomes and the lives of children. That might just make him a superhero, after all.
