MyChart is a simple, secure and convenient way to manage your children’s health care — and pay your bills. With Express Bill Pay, you can focus on your child’s health and not on paperwork.
You can pay your child’s medical bills online through MyChart or as a guest if you don’t have an account. To access Express Bill Pay, simply navigate to MyChart’s login page on your computer or the app, and click “Express Bill Pay.” You’ll need the guarantor ID or the specific visit account number to get started, and then follow the prompts to make a payment.
We are also excited to now offer this summer bill pay via text message. When a new statement is available, the guarantor (the person who pays the bills) will receive a text alert and be able to make a secure payment via two-way, text-to-pay functionality.
If you’re already receiving text messages from Akron Children’s, you don’t have to do anything to take advantage of this new feature. If you would like to sign up, you can text START to 37406 to begin receiving messages or update your communication preference via MyChart. Message and data rates apply, and you may reply STOP to opt out at any time.

If you do have a MyChart account, after logging in either on your computer or the app, you (the guarantor) have these benefits at your fingertips:
- The ability to set up payment plans or recurring payments
- Paperless billing statements
- Real-time account balances
- Detailed payment receipts
How to sign up for a recurring payment plan
Akron Children’s offers payment plans up to 18 months that you may set up for a minimum $25 monthly payment.
To sign up for a MyChart recurring payment plan:
- Go to mychart.akronchildrens.org and log in.
- Click on “Billing Summary” in the top navigation or under Billing in your main hamburger menu.
- Click on “Set Up Payment Plan.”
