We are so excited about our new addition to the Pollock household – feeling blessed and humbled to have 3 little munchkins fill our home with love and laughter.
We were excited to have our 3rd surprise true gender reveal on April 11, 2017. When Dr. John W. Stewart asked us on April 10 if we would be ready to be induced on Tuesday I jumped at the opportunity to have an “Opening Day Baby” to celebrate the Tribe’s home opener.
Little did we know that Micah James Pollock would make his entrance right about the same time as Francisco Lindor’s home run. We purchased a baseball ahead of time to have our little peanut’s foot prints placed on the ball as a fun keepsake to mark our special arrival. It also has the signature of our hero Dr. Stewart.
There’s nothing better than having a doctor who you can trust that comes in the midst of uncertainty looking you in the eye asking who your buddy is. You see, Micah is our second VBAC baby. Jordan was delivered via c-section due to trying to protect his back because of the open myelomeningocele.
When Dr. Stewart asked if that’s what the plan was with Gabriella we were more than confident that if something would go wrong we were in the right hands. She was a success.
Again with P3 (a nickname for the baby being their 3rd “peanut”), he asked if that was the plan again and without hesitation we replied, Yes.
There were a few times a resident seemed uncertain stating an emergency c-section may be needed, in which panic set in due to wanting to heal as quickly as I could wanting to care for Jordan’s needs. That’s when our hero entered with reassurance that it would be ok and he was going to be with us every step of the way because he’s my buddy.
Micah entered the world weighing in at 8 pounds, 10 ounces and 21 inches long. My heart is so full of love for each of our children.
We could not wait to introduce Jordan and Gabriella. Randy went out to escort the troops in. Jordan took an authoritative look and said, “We’ve got to get in there.”
Gabriella could not wait to jump up with mommy to check out the new baby. She is very protective instructing the nursing staff that they needed to be gentle when caring for the little man.
It took some time for Jordan to get a closer look. He’s my soak it in kiddo. He couldn’t help but staring in awe of his new deputy. When he came to pick us up from the hospital he wore his police costume because he knew Micah would want to see it. He then removed his badge so Micah could take a closer look.
We are all so in love with having another peanut in the mix. God is so good!
