Because you can’t plan for injuries or illnesses, Akron Children’s is making it easier for families by reducing wait times at our 4 Urgent Care locations through On My Way scheduling.
Whether your child has a bad cough, sprained ankle or a rash, On My Way allows you to securely choose the Akron Children’s Urgent Care office and arrival time that fits your family’s needs. Then, you and your child can wait in the comfort of your own home, instead of at the Urgent Care office.
When you select an arrival time using the online tool, your child is placed on a waiting list. On My Way isn’t a set appointment like you’d make for the doctor’s office, but it can get your child checked in and treated faster. You don’t need a MyChart account to access On My Way.
How On My Way works
Visit akronchildrens.org/urgentcare and click the “On My Way” button. Then:
- Select the location and arrival time for your visit that day.
- Give details, including your child’s name and reason for the Urgent Care visit.
- Provide your contact information.
You still will need to check in upon arrival, but the process will be faster thanks to On My Way.
