It was so exciting to enjoy Valentine’s Day with my two valentines this year. Randy is an amazing husband and daddy. I love to watch him interact with Jordan. The days to come are going to be a joy to watch as he shares his heart with his son.
Jordan, my sweet baby valentine, makes my heart melt a little more every day. His eyes and smile light up my room. His special little hugs and kisses capture a part of me that I never knew I had.
He is getting to a stage where he knows who he wants to be holding his attention with. It’s pretty funny to watch him stare across the room as if to say, “Um…Hello I’m over here!!”
We’ve almost mastered rolling from back to belly. Initiation is key to this milestone. It’s definitely not a movement he would want to do independently when no one is looking.
We’ve also been working with Jordan on petting our little dog Sasha, gently. He tends to get excited and wants to pull her hair. She’s been a real trooper during the training process.
Our next visit to Akron Children’s will take place tomorrow. It’s our Myelo Clinic day. We will be visiting Dr. Jones, Dr. Hudgins, Dr. McMahon, and Dr. Hull. We are hoping this trip goes a little better than the previous.
We are a little more concerned with Jordan’s left foot. It seems like it has been pulling up and to the side a little more than when we first started this journey.
An ultrasound will also be taken of his bladder to see if there is urine that is not being eliminated as well as checking the kidneys to see if they are continuing to grow.
There always seems to be anxiety not knowing what the specialists may notice that we don’t. No matter the outcome we’ll still be celebrating our milestones not matter when they come.
