So much has happened this past week. It’s hard to keep up and our lil Peanut will be here before we know it.
I went to Philadelphia for a conference. Philly was awesome! If you don’t know, April is Occupational Therapy Month, and boy has it rang true. I received my official title as an occupational therapist on April 1. It’s so crazy how you complete all the requirements then in one day you finally make it. Our poster presentation was amazing. It was a blast to share our hard work with other therapists. We had well over 150 people stop by our display asking for information regarding our research.
Our group also took some time early Saturday morning to walk the 3K to the Philadelphia Art Museum, to run up the stairs where Rocky stood. It’s kind of humorous that we put so much influence on a fictional character, but the message speaks wonders.
I did not face any problems in Philly as far as Peanut goes…in fact Peanut, along with myself, loves Guatemalan Ripple ice cream – mmmm. I arrived home Sunday evening, and woke up Monday hitting the ground running at my new job. It’s been an overwhelming week, but again it’s OT month, so I might as well get these wonderful things started.
Tuesday night a group of believers joined together in prayer for our family. The Holy Spirit was definitely among us. There is something about prayer that is so humbling. And to have others lift you up when you feel like your strength is weak, is one of the most amazing moments we will face this side of heaven. What an encouragement to hear others come to the throne of our creator to ask for complete healing of little Peanut. A miracle would be amazing, but in all truth, the miracle of life is a miracle in itself.
Here are some of the verses that we shared during our time of prayer:
Matt 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and HEALING EVERY sickness and EVERY DISEASE among the people.
Jeremiah 30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thy wounds, saith the Lord.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come BODILY unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Matt 21:22 And All things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him. If thou can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightaway the father of the child cried out and said in tears LORD I believe!
Psalms 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoiceth, my flesh also rests in HOPE
