Objectives (Educational Content) :
1. Analyze 3 tools that exist to aid with the evaluation and management of headache in the primary care setting. 2. Identify where to access these resources. 3. Describe types of migraine aura and how the management of these differs from that of migraine without aura.
Target Audience:
General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.
Identified Gap:
Primary care providers frequently encounter patients with headaches in the outpatient clinic. Many providers are unfamiliar with diagnosing different types of headaches and their treatment options, especially migraines with and without aura.
