Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Examine differences in picky eaters and problem feeders. 2. Describe evaluation and treatment approaches for those identified as problem feeders. 3. Illustrate examples of recommendations for picky eating for the primary care provider.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Pediatric Primary Care Providers encounter patients with restricted diets on a daily basis. Providers often lack knowledge to distinguish between the different disorders and how to manage these conditions. Further education is needed to empower providers with knowledge to better guide their patient's guardians.

The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.
