Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Define pediatric hypermobility and recognize its key features. 2. Identify the appropriate criteria for referral to a Hypermobility Clinic. 3. Distinguish between the clinical manifestations of three common heritable connective tissue disorders and understand the indications for referral to genetic services.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

As we learn more about hypermobility syndromes and conditions and the interdisciplinary nature of the various associated conditions, our hypermobility clinic can help guide primary care and subspecialty providers as they navigate the medical care of their patients at Akron Children's Hospital.
