Grand Rounds: Palliative Care and Narrative Medicine research

Objectives (Educational Content) :

1. Describe at least three stages of behavioral intervention trial development. 2. Distinguish between acceptability and feasibility. 3. Explain relationship between intervention development stage and selection of outcome variable.

Target Audience:

General pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, and nurses.

Identified Gap:

Narrative medicine is a tool that can be used by patients and family members to decrease the level of pain, depression and anxiety and therefore more research is needed to analyze and assess the clinical efficacy in various clinical settings.

The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.
