Family Support: Akron Children's Diabetes Camp

Staff from the Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology interacts with campers and oversees routine blood sugar monitoring and the administration of insulin and other medications.

Campers may be the only person at school with diabetes, and camp offers them the opportunity to compare similar feelings and emotions, and to discover that diabetes won't limit them from doing things.

Informational brochures are mailed to families in February, with registration available at the end of March.
