Henry's Story
Henry's story began in February 2020 when he was discovered on the side of a road in rural Kentucky, weighing 25 pounds less than he should with a severely injured back leg.
Thanks to the kindness of a good Samaritan, Henry found his way to a shelter where veterinarians determined his leg was beyond repair and needed to be amputated. Despite the challenges he faced, Henry's spirit remained unbroken.
Fast forward six weeks, and a dog rescue group called Canine Lifeline stepped in to give Henry and other dogs like him a second chance at happiness. It was during this time that fate brought Henry into my life.
I was on the lookout for a furry companion who embodied qualities of calmness, gentleness, and friendliness, with potential to become a therapy dog. Canine Lifeline introduced me to Henry (then known as Griff) and from the moment we met, I knew he was meant to be part of my family.
Henry's resilience and joyful spirit inspires me every day, reminding me of the transformative impact of compassion, love, and care.
